Companion worksheets for "I Have a Pet"
This is a set of worksheets in both color and black and white designed to be used in conjunction with the preschool book "I Have a Pet". Worksheets focus on associations that are found in the book, and can also be used alone if desired.
Worksheets are designed to be used with drawing lines, cutting out squares and finding matches, and coloring pages. See examples below for more details. This packet includes 4 worksheets and 5 coloring pages with associations that are found in the book.
Ways to use these worksheets:
Receptive language - have students identify which picture to glue.
Expressive language - have students say which animal they have/what goes with it/practice the animal sound.
Turn taking - have students ask for a picture when it is their turn.
Requesting - have students ask for a picture and tape/glue for each picture.
Part to whole - have students follow directions to color different parts of the animals.
Colors - use the black and white versions and have students follow directions to color the pictures.
Prepositions - tell students where to glue the pictures (ex. “glue the dog above the bone”).
Or send home as homework!
